Round-Up. November 13th/14th.

Girls:

Sporting Club Albion U10’s 8-1 Coundon Court U10’s

The Under 10’s were comprehensively beaten by a rampant Sporting Club Albion on Saturday. With the hosts netting 66 goals and conceding just one in the six league games prior to the match, coupled with the fact that Coundon were without the goalscoring prowess of Lia, they were always going to struggle against their unbeaten opponents. Teegan made her debut and netted a consolation for the visitors. They will face familiar faces in a fortnight’s time, as the Under 10’s again take on Sporting Club Albion.

Warwick Angels U11’s 1-3 Coundon Court U11’s

Mia netted a superb hat-trick – her 8th, 9th and 10th goals of the season - as the Under 11’s maintained their four-game winning streak, away at Warwick. Milly also made her 50th appearance for the club. The Under 11’s are also back in action in a fortnight, as they travel to Knowle Girls, looking to avenge the 2-1 defeat earlier in the season.

Stratford Town U12’s 0-11 Coundon Court U12’s

The Under 12’s kept up their pursuit of Sporting Club Albion at the top of the league, with a thumping victory over table-propping Stratford Town on Saturday. Sophie netted four and Mya added a hat-trick, and doubles by Jess and Harriet completed the rout. Stratford are still without a goal this season, after the home defeat.

Coundon Court U13’s 5-3 Walsall Ladies U13’s

It was a third win on the bounce for the Under 13’s, as they twice came from behind to secure an emphatic victory at home against Walsall. After falling behind early on, Ciara netted an equaliser, only for Walsall to go back ahead at 2-1. Milly equalised, and then added her second from the penalty spot to end a breathless first-half at 3-2 to the hosts. Walsall levelled matters at 3-3 in the second-half, before a stunning strike by Emma put Coundon ahead at 4-3. The hosts ensured the three points late on, as Milly bagged her hat-trick – her 89th altogether and now a joint club record. The result was made more impressive by the fact that Coundon fielded just nine players for the entirety of the match. The Under 13’s face a tricky trip to Warwick Angels next week, hoping to halt their unbeaten record at the top of the league.

Coundon Court U15’s 4-2 Belvedere U15’s

The Under 15’s moved to the top of the league with a fantastic victory at home to Belvedere. Trailing their opponents on goal difference prior to the match, Roisin fired the hosts into a 1-0 lead. Jenny and Chloe added to the scoreline, before Jade added a 4th goal late on – her first goal in two years.

The in-form striker netted a hat-trick en route to the win, with Jack, Steve, Josh and Ryan also getting their names on the scoresheet. They faced each other in cup action just over a month ago, as Coundon edged out their opponents on penalty kicks, after a 3-3 draw.

Coundon Court U11’s 13-0 Leamington Hibs Blue U11’s

Matthew netted four, Sam J struck twice, and there were also goals for Sam A, Farris, Jordan, Jamie - his first for the club, Thomas, Jack and Owen. The Under 11’s will be hoping for a similar performance when they take on struggling Coventry Copsewood away next Sunday.

Rugby Town Colts U12’s 3-8 Coundon Court U12’s
